Famous French and Swiss artists congratulate the launch of the first OLYMP'ARTS in 2023 in Geneva
At the global launch event at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, the UN headquarters in Europe on June 29, well-known European actors Mathilda May, Sibylle Blanc, Stefan Ver Stéphane Freiss, Joseph Fowler, head of arts and culture at the World Economic Forum, and renowned photographer Vincent Calmel, among others, have expressed their recognition and anticipation of the OLYMP'ARTS and and the creation of the OC.

ABOUT WOAC

CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY
On July 10th and 11th, 1995, supported by the United Nations, UNESCO and the "International Olympic Committee Centenary Congress - Paris 1994", the Constituent Assembly of "OLYMPIC ARTS" was held at the UNESCO headquarter in Paris. Marc Verriere and 68 representatives from 65 nations and regions have signed the Founding Charter.
GENERIC TITLE AND LOGO
In 2016, the generic term “olympic” of our appellation of origin has been modified with reference to Mount Olympus, which the shape of our logo symbolizes, becoming “OLYMP’ARTS”. Indeed, this revival of the “arts olympiads”, introduced by ancient Greece according to a precise calendar of which the modern concept belongs to us (official deposit INPI 1992, renewed in 2015), has always been independent of the IOC. It is to better differentiate ourselves from the sporting world and avoid any confusion that this change of terminology in our generic title was implemented. This change has been approved by the IOC in a letter dated February 12, 2016.

The OLYMP'ARTS Alliance (OAA), established by the World OLYMP'ARTS Council, aims to establish a worldwide arts consortium to promote the impact of OLYMP'ARTS and achieve the goal of reviving the “OLYMP'ARTS” by using the arts as a common global cultural language, under the tenet of OLYMP'ARTS values.
